Midday drama

After dropping Nathan in the city for some training I decided to try out a new supermarket which people have told me is one of the cheapest in Adelaide and their produce is good quality. I was bitterly disappointed in the price and quality of their products but also very annoyed at the trolley mayhem taking place in there in addition to the restocking that staff were trying to do in the already crowded aisles. I left with the resolve that I would not go there again.

As I approached the car in the 39 degree heat I pulled out my keys and went to unlock the boot only to realise that the inside of my remote keys was missing! All that was there was the case and the key attached to the end... I was confused about how this had occurred and calmly tried to search for the electronic dooby whilst secretly panicking that one of the many cars driving through the carpark would run over it...) My search was futile. Walked all through the car park, bending down to check under cars which had since parked in the path I had walked to and from the shops. I emptied my bag twice to no avail. Checked with supermarket staff and no-one had handed electronic dooby in. Tried to start car to no avail. By this stage getting hot and bothered and sunburnt. Sat inside supermarket and called RAA who sent a man out to tell me that I would not be able to start car unless I had one of the 3 keys given when we purchased the car. RAA man searched the carpark and supermarket with me (thought that was above and beyond the call of duty). Left my name with the supermarket in case someone found it and handed it in. RAA man flagged taxi (again, above and beyond). Left groceries at supermarket so they would not perish in the car. Caught taxi to Nathan, hot and upset by the time I got to him. Picked up Nathan's keys and caught taxi back to car. Picked up groceries and put them in car (again). Got home, still hot and bothered. As I was putting items away, felt something strange in my bra - found the electronic dooby!!! I laughed at myself for quite some time. When Nathan got home we laughed some more. How ridiculous. 2hrs and $20 taxi fare later I am home and all is well.
