Aunty and Uncle-to-be

This last week the Lambert house welcomed Faith Margaret into their home. Anisia and I were proud to be part of it all and celebrate the gift of new life...

Engagement Party SA

Some photos of last weekend when we got to celebrate our engagement for the second time! =) Thanks for your handiwork with the camera Adrian...

Wedding Invitations

For past week Anisia and I could think of nothing else except wedding invitations. We were hard at it on Monday night, Tuesday night, Wednesday night and Thursday night!! It kept surprising us how long it would take to address a few envelopes, cut a ribbon and stick a photo down! Thankfully, we enlisted some helpers (Kristen, Rachel & Jackie) and the task is now complete!! Thank God! You should all be receiving little packages in the mail very soon...

100 Days

Here I am eating lunch (only time I can afford), wanting to update the blog and tell everyone what has been happening in our lives. So much seems to happen for us on a daily basis, let alone a week or the weekends that I think I will just stick to the present and not try to back-date this blog since the last post. I notice that the wedding countdown on the left is significantly less than the last time I looked and is at the nice round figure of 100 days. Anisia and I certainly feel the pinch of wedding planning at the moment. It tends to predominate our limited time together and puts extra pressure on our work & study. It hasn't been this way the whole time but we have just reached a point where some details need to be finalised (eg. wedding invitations). I think we are both hopeful we will get over this busy hump and breathe a little easier for a while.

Last weekend we attending a pre-marriage counseling course held at Tanunda by LCC. We had a terrific time and developed a few skills/tools to use in the future when they are needed. We stayed in the Barossa for the weekend (thanks to Matthias' parents) and woke up Sunday morning to led worship at Rosedale and Freeling (see photos). I made numerous mistakes, especially at Rosedale, but generally had a great time leading and being there with Neish by my side. For McCleods Daughter's fans - you will be interested to know that we ate lunch after church at the now-famous Gungellan Hotel!

Lunch is finished. Gotta go...

Making home

The new bedding: great Target bargains including feather pillows for $2.86!

Progress:

If you're a visitor to our place, this will be your bed!! We are so excited to be able to set up a place that will enable us to host and spend quality time with our friends and family. First up: Kym Kleidon, coming from Brisbane this weekend.

And now: our new bed!!! We have upgraded the bed I have been using since 1998 (first purchase with money I earned from working at McDonalds). We found this one last weekend and both loved it. The mattress is also new and is very very comfy!

And this is my bedside table (had since I was a young girl): One of the handles broke and was irreparable so I went to Bunnings and got new handles which Nathan diligently put on. It looks fabulous and matches the bed perfectly!!!

The Bunnings voucher was from the Neldners and was also used to purchase two indoor plants, some screws to secure the slats to the new bed, two picture hooks and a door stop! Such a handy gift!!!! THANKYOU!

THANKYOU also to everyone who gave us gift vouchers and money for our engagement party. We used them very well (i.e. ColesMyer, Target and Ikea (well, Ikea we will be using indirectly but that's another story)).

So whenever you're ready, we'll be ready to have you!!!
